About Central Service Technical Training
Central Service Technical Training is a comprehensive course in Central Service and Sterile Processing. This course is designed to prepare prospective Central Service Technicians, and Materiel Management employees to succeed on the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association HSPA Certification exam for Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST]
(Note: One does not need the 400 hours hands on requirement to become certified; you have six months after your Provisional certification to submit the 400 hrs requirement)
The course fee includes:
. The IAHCSMM 8th edition Central.
. The Service Technical Training Manual and workbook
. 18 months of access to online seminar for refresher.
. Four hundred Hours hands on training requirement.
Kruah Consultants LLC is now offering students in the New Jersey area obtain the four hundred hours of hands-on experience required for a full HSPA certification, formerly IAHCSMM. Passing the HSPA CRCST exam without the four hundred hours of hands-on experience gives you a Provisional Certification. One is fully certified once the four hundred hours are completed and submitted to the HSPA. Students will be responsible for setting up and getting training on their own if out of state (New Jersey) who cannot make it to the clinical site.
We are currently in an agreement with Hudson Regional Hospital, Secaucus NJ to provide four hundred clinical hours to students.

This course is preparation for the HSPA CRCST certification exam, formerly IAHCSMM; passing this course does not equate to Certification.

Welcome to the world of Sterile Processing
Hi, I am Ernest T. Kruah Jr. BSc. CRCST, CIS, CHL, CEO, of Kruah Consultants LLC.
I have worked in the allied health field of Sterile Processing for over 12 years as a Certified Technician and Supervisor. I am currently Consulting while managing a Sterile Processing department in Northern New Jersey.
I started of as a CS Technician at the Englewood Hospital Medical Center and moved on to Ambulatory care facilities. After a couple of years, I decided to use my skills and become a travel technician that took me through many states around the country. Some of my favorites include Georgia, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, just to name a few. Finally, I settled in New Jersey, and I currently manage a Sterile Processing Department at a high volume ASC in Northern New Jersey.
I am very enthusiastic about the impact this course could have on participants as a career choice, whether temporary or long term.
In my experience, I have seen the technological advances in the field of Central Sterile Processing and medical instrumentation that now requires technicians to have the skills to answer the questions WHY? So, my job is to help you answer the question of why we do, what we do in the world of medical instrumentation reprocessing and patient care.
